Joshua B. Adams, a Chicago-based criminal defense attorney, has been practicing criminal law for over 15 years.
A majority of Mr. Adams’s practice focuses on individuals charged in the federal courts for gun and drug crimes, health care fraud, and mortgage fraud.

Mr. Adams is licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois, federal District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois, Central District of Illinois, Southern DIstrict of Illinois, Northern District of Ohio, Southern DIstrict of Ohio, Western District of Virginia, as well as appeals all over the country, including the 8th, 7th and 6th Circuits.
Mr. Adams has successfully represented clients in a variety of criminal cases from state and federal drug and gun charges to fraud and racketeering charges. In addition, Mr. Adams handles pre-trial matters such as grand jury subpoenas and pre-indictment negotiations.
Mr. Adams attended The John Marshall Law School where he earned his J.D. in 2004. After being admitted to the Illinois state bar, Mr. Adams was a Judicial Law Clerk to an Article III judge in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Mr. Adams is also a member of The John Marshall Law School’s Alumni Mentor Program where he is a mentor to current law students.
